PRESIDING AND ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE APPOINTMENTS

The court has announced appointments to the positions of presiding judge and administrative judge for 2018.

Judge Stephen W. Powell has been elected Presiding Judge for 2018. Judge Powell has been a member of the court since 1996.

The presiding judge shall preside over all court sessions and meetings of the court en banc. The presiding judge is to also serve as the administrative judge in the absence or disability of the administrative judge.

Judge Robert A. Hendrickson has been elected Administrative Judge for 2018. Judge Hendrickson has been a member of the court since 2009. The administrative judge is responsible for supervising the administration, docket, and calendar of the court. The administrative judge shall also rule upon all requests for extensions of time and other motions and matters to be handled by a single judge. The administrative judge shall also assist the presiding judge in the performance of his or her duties, and serves as the presiding judge in the absence or disability of the presiding judge.

The appointments are effective January 1, 2018.
